Under the leadership of Filipino entrepreneur, Jojo Reyes of Emerald Sales Center Corporation, the asset purchase agreement including an exclusive Manufacturing License Agreement, was formally inked on September 30, 2002. With the successful purchase of the factory, Reyes formed Technical Lighting Philippines (TLx), and has since attracted foreign nationals to invest in the luminaire manufacturing facility located at the Granville Industrial Complex in Carmona, Cavite.

Aside from introducing its own line of specification-grade luminaires for the Asian and European markets, TLx will continue to produce Trilux product ranges including the popular recessed fluorescent luminaires for the T8 fluorescent lamp and the specialized louvre-luminaire systems designed for the new technology T5 lamp. With export as its primary market focus, TLx was also recently certified by the Philippine Board Of Investment, as a Filipino-owned non-pioneer export producer of technical luminaires.

Another key feature of the purchase agreement is the grant of a Master Distribution Rights by Trilux-Lenze, allowing TLx to distribute and sell the full range of Trilux products in the Philippines and in select international markets. In the Philippines, TLx has retained the distribution and sales rights of Trilux’s veteran distributor, Emerald Sales Center Corporation and Architectural Lights, Inc.

TLx sees its collaboration with Trilux-Lenze as a major factor in its becoming the leading supplier and exporter of premium lighting products for technical illumination requirements. Trilux-Lenze is one of the leading lighting companies in Europe and its luminaires are known worldwide not only for their sleek, user-friendly designs but also for their energy efficiency and architecture-compatibility.
