The Gateway Mall is set
to become the landmark of the Araneta Center, a 35-hectare
commercial complex located in the heart of Quezon City, home
of the Big Dome, the Araneta Coliseum. Comprised of a
100,000 square meters with a development cost of P2.5-billion, the Gateway Mall will be the center’s newest
crown jewel. The well-known US-architectural firm RTKL
International planned the new structures with EMERALD as the
project’s lighting designers. On July 2004, EMERALD was
awarded the supply and specialty installation of the
complete lighting package.
The
main entry statement of the mall is the Gazebo. To highlight
this jewel-box, EMERALD uses LED striplights all around its
5-steel rings and will connect it to a programmable control
system, allowing it to go through a sequence of light chases
and color changes. BEGA’s IP65 downlights and in-grade
uplights are strategically position around this RTKL
designed entry statement. |
