Located within the campus grounds of the most prestigious
private university in the Philippines, the Church of the Gesu
stands as the most modern church built, in terms of architecture
and interior design. EMERALD was commissioned by the architectural
firm of Recio + Casas as the lighting consultants for the
project. Subsequently, we were awarded to supply and supervise
the installation of the entire lighting system for the project.
SILL pendant luminaires, SELECON's architectural
ellipsoidals, YAMADA SHOMEI downlights and EMERALD
custom fabricated uplighters were used to illuminate the interior
spaces. On the exterior, the sleek BEGA lighting poles
coupled with LUMASCAPE's metal halide burial uplights
and WE-EF step lights blended perfectly with the architectural
elements of the building. As a signature highlight, 3 - 400W
metal halide SILL outdoor floodlights equipped with
very narrow reflectors were focused on the gigantic cross
mounted on the roof's apex, making it visible from miles away. |
